Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the new mobile battle royale from Activision is still in full development and testing phase in selected regions. It’s really no wonder since it’s a very ambitious project that promises to become the next big shooter game for phones. However, if it wants to do so, we think it should have 5 specific things when it comes out in 2023.

What is Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile?

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is the mobile version of the popular battle royale from the well-known Activision saga. It’s a first-person shooter game where you compete against other people in online games to be the last player or team standing. It’s a brand-new game that’s completely independent from the other Call of Duty games that already exist for phones. In fact, it’s still in development and is only accessible in specific regions.

5 things we’d like to see in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

The time is coming for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile to finally be made available for everyone, leaving behind its testing period, a phase that developers will use to collect user feedback and improve the game before its official release. That’s why we’d like to share our two cents and comment on a few things we’d like to see in the battle royale.

A variety of game modes

While it’s clear that the main attraction in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is going to be the battle royale modes, both squad and duo, it’s been confirmed that we’ll also find other modes for direct team confrontations. This makes us dream of all sorts of different game modes that could take advantage of the title’s awesome gameplay. Could there possibly be a zombie mode? A level editor? Perhaps a story mode? The possibilities are endless, and we think they’re definitely worth exploring.

Good optimization for all phones

Activision promised good optimization for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, but the requirements to play this battle royale are still too high for many players. The previous games of the saga worked on almost all mobile devices and this new release is going to need to stick to that commitment, especially if they want to reach a massive worldwide player base: there are still many humble devices in the world, so it wouldn’t be a good idea to limit this game only to the most powerful models.

Real integration with other Call of Duty titles

Without a doubt, one of the great things about Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is its promised compatibility with the main installments of the saga for consoles and computers. Of course, it doesn’t have complete cross-play—that would be almost impossible—but it will maintain your progress to share all (or almost all) of the objects, outfits and skins that you’ve achieved in any game. We know this will be available at launch, but we want it to continue to exist as new Call of Duty games are released in the future.

Reliable servers without long maintenance times

For an online multiplayer game to remain active with a constant and dedicated community, good servers with a stable and quality connection are a must. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile should be able to achieve this, taking into account the economic strength of its developers. It would be ideal to be able to have servers to play on constantly, with backup servers available for when maintenance needs to be performed. We’d also like to be able to choose between regions, as well as create private rooms to play with friends.

Special events and ongoing content

Last but not least, we believe it’s essential for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile to have a good roadmap in place to make sure it never stops updating content. We definitely want it to have special events to participate in to get unique items, as well as bonus games and seasons that give players an incentive to keep playing the game. Of course, we would love to see new weapons show up in the arsenal, especially if they’re capable of stirring up the meta to keep it from going stagnate.

When will Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile be available?

To check if this wish list is fulfilled or not, we still have a while left to wait, as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is not yet officially available. As of today, there’s an active trial version, but it is only accessible to registered users in Australia. In the rest of the world, we can sign up to try its early access, although at the moment, there’s no date marked on the calendar. The only thing we know is that it will be available sometime in 2023.
