APU – Accelerated Processing Unit – a processing chip which combine the functionalities of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) like an X86 or Arm processor and a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) such as an Nvidia Tensor processor. Examples of APUs are AMD’s MI300A which has six GPU and two CPU chiplets.
