Oct 20, 2020 at 6:13 comment added lemon @JachymMichal, ok I understand... too bad for us, imho. Wish you plain success in your new job
Oct 20, 2020 at 6:06 comment added jachym michal Hey @lemon :). Nothing is rigged, I decided to withdraw two days ago. I've put a short explanation in the beginning of my answer here.
Oct 20, 2020 at 5:51 comment added lemon @JachymMichal, it seems the vote is open but you're not there. Is it intentional? If not I think the vote is kind of rigged?
Oct 19, 2020 at 20:36 comment added jachym michal @RobinBetts Oh, you can count on that :). Thanks.
Oct 19, 2020 at 20:34 comment added jachym michal That's great news @RobertGützkow :). This election is going to be way more interesting than i thought... And good luck of course, the lineup is pretty strong this time :).
Oct 19, 2020 at 20:15 comment added Robin Betts Mod Echo Robert, sorry to see you off this list, maybe next time.
Oct 19, 2020 at 18:25 comment added Robert Gützkow Sad to see that you withdrew, but congratulations on the new job! Even though I don't really have much time for moderation either, I've decided to join as candidate. Just to make sure that people have a bit of a choice.
Oct 18, 2020 at 19:05 comment added jachym michal Thanks for the support @Leander, I considered that too. But all the other candidates have more experience with moderating than me, so there's still enough to choose from :). Also, I wouldn't withdraw if there were only two other candidates left.
Oct 18, 2020 at 18:43 comment added Leander I would be happy if you didn't withdraw. Duarte mentioned, that it could be possible to also add the runner up from this election and they were thinking about it. In that case it would be better to have more candidates than fewer who can split the work.

Oct 17, 2020 at 18:51 comment added jachym michal @Leander As for the dedicated time, I'm in a similar situation as Timaroberts. I frequent the site a few times a day, and that wouldn't change as a mod. I'd make it a priority to keep the queues in check over answering questions :).
Oct 17, 2020 at 18:45 comment added jachym michal Oh, you've got perfect timing, @Leander :). I've got offered a new job today, which wouldn't leave me with enough time for proper moderating. I'll decide tomorrow, whether to withdraw or not.
Oct 17, 2020 at 8:20 comment added Leander @timaroberts How often would you frequent blender.se a moderator and how much time would you dedicate daily/weekly/monthly to review/edit?
Oct 16, 2020 at 17:36 comment added lemon Jachym, yes, thanks!
Oct 16, 2020 at 17:14 comment added jachym michal Hey :). It certainly limits how much time I can spend Blendering. However, I'm glad my income doesn't depend on my Blender skills yet, it makes the whole learning experience much more fun :). With regard to moderating I don't see any difference. Is that what you had in mind?
Oct 16, 2020 at 16:44 comment added lemon If I understand well, Blender is still a hobby for you (that's mainly the case for me too). Do you feel it as a limitation compared to professional people?
