A tricycle has three wheels. There are tricycles where you will sit upright (like a traditional children's tricycle) and those where you are more recumbent. If there is only one front wheel and two rear wheels, it is called a delta design. If there are two front wheels and one rear wheel, it is called a tadpole design.
