Wonderful thought provocation. Yes, the riding the roads at higher average speed / efficiency while maintaining an average cadence of about 70.. would changing to Clipless peddles help? Would looking into flexible road tires help... I am riding a steel belted 25C. Am in no rush to expense on Carbon wheels as of yet. Looking for finer tweaks so the bike feels "efficient".

@AliHafeezAzmat If you do not have clipless pedals yet, buy them today. It is a must. Then consider using higher cadence, like 90.
