If the Fenix 5X has HR the OP could put HR setting on broadcast and that would send to his Edge 820, it saves using an external HR strap sensor.

@DanK Yes, the Fenix 5X can do this. But the OP doesn't need to record HR in order to follow a previously-recorded ride on an indoor trainer.
