    Paying almost $1K for wheels on your "backup" bike seems a bit silly. Especially when you're getting straight spoke wheels which are the devil's spawn to maintain. As to the size issue you're probably OK, though the likelihood of a blowout is higher than it would be with a more reasonable combo. This is more of a reliability issue than a safety issue.
