1One extra thought - some people recommend pre-stretching Marathon tyres, or leaving them in sunlight for an hour to "warm up" and get slightly more malleable. Marathons are renowned for being a tight-fit.– Criggie ♦Commented Jun 18, 2018 at 11:41

Thanks for the suggestions! I already employed some of them before, however sometimes it's really hard to push in the last 2-3 centimeters. Particularly when you are alone. I would like a tire that does not have this problem (especially if I'm away from home). Any suggestions?– Francesco PasaCommented Jun 18, 2018 at 19:36

Employing two or three properly spaced tire levers usually does the trick for me. Since you are buying tires with high puncture resistance I wouldn’t worry about it too much.– MichaelCommented Jun 19, 2018 at 15:13

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. mountain-bike), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
