Where did you find information about 2 types of lubricants? All I could see is that Y-041 20800 Internal Hub Grease should be used for it.– AndrejaKoCommented Jun 7, 2016 at 11:56

You are right, what I read was not specific for this model. "An internal-gear hub with a coaster brake may need more than one type of lubricant. Follow manufacturer's recommendations." (sheldonbrown.com/coaster-brakes.html)– NicoCommented Jun 7, 2016 at 13:51

That may actually be correct. I have a bicycle with the same brake and I managed to find this document. It does have a lubrication part at the end, that uses a different type of oil for cleaning.– AndrejaKoCommented Jun 7, 2016 at 14:54

This just went away, I have no idea why. It just stopped at some point.– NicoCommented Apr 1, 2017 at 20:06

Interesting. I had similar issue and the local bike shop told me that there's a component inside that gets worn out with braking that needs replacing from time to time... I didn't take the time to actually track it down in the service manual, so I don't know what it is.– AndrejaKoCommented Apr 1, 2017 at 20:13

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. mountain-bike), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
