1What if you disconnect the cable from the brake (there is quick, no tool disconnecting)? Still rubbing?– krzyskiCommented May 20, 2016 at 14:20

Took it to LBS and found the stand was rubbing against the wheel due to the wheel not true. Hopefully that resolves the issue. Thanks.– ZSSCommented May 24, 2016 at 17:24

800km seemed like a short time for those brakes to have problems. I LOVE those brakes. They did very well in the wet cold climes of the UK. Beyond a comment, some advice. They do need servicing, and it will feel like they are becoming less effective when that time comes. You'll have to take them to the LBS for regreasing (seriously, they use grease inside of them). Otherwise enjoy an excellent but under appreciated Shimano product.– user26705Commented Jun 25, 2016 at 7:10

Thank You. I did buy a grease only for internal roller brakes and put a pea size in the hole in the brake. I read somewhere that this should be done every 500K albeit at some point the brakes should be taken to a LBS for service to clean it all up. I appreciate your tip and advice.– ZSSCommented Jun 27, 2016 at 12:20

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. mountain-bike), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
