🎉 We are honoured to welcome a new member in our Board   .  .  .   Welcome Philippe MASSET 🙋 Philippe has held several C-level executive roles, with over 20 years of experience as CEO of international banking entities at ING and later at Degroof Petercam. He has an excellent track record in wholesale banking, transformation and change management and extensive board exposure combined with a very large personal network.   Currently, Philippe is amongst others a member of the Board of Directors of Banque Edmond de Rothschild Europe, member of the Board of Directors of Guberna, Belgian Institute of Directors, Advisor for the financial sector at Blackfin Capital Partners, vice chairman of Whistestone and Board member of Fondation Louvain.  Philippe holds a master's degree in law and economics from the Catholic University of Louvain. 🎓    He is joining Vicinity as a new independant board member aside from Laurence Gacoin, Virginie Samyn, Gaëtan Hannecart, Vincent Meulders, and Jean Baptiste Van Ex.     🙏 We are delighted to welcome Philippe to this adventure, and we look forward to learning more from his experience. #affordablehousing #learning #newmemberonboard

This achievement fully answers to 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 and a limitation of CO2 emissions. ✔️ This phase brings drilling and earthworks to a close. 🔭 In the wake of the organizations we met that inspire us, discover now the 2 next one! .  .  .    We had the chance to meet: Lionel Defraigne from SINGA Bruxelles that creates spaces for connections to be made between newcomers and local people already settled in Brussels. These interactions can take the shape of group meetups, one-on-one pairings, or even hosting. We foster opportunities for newcomers and promote an enriched, diverse society where everyone has a place to live to their full potential.  💪 A few numbers since 2017: 900 Buddy pairs connected, 150 AdminBuddy pairs connected, 150 cohabitations set up, 2000 organised activities! and  Michel Dereau from Natura Loci specialized in the flowering of large spaces: Cities & Communes, large properties, agricultural fallows, forestry areas, etc…  🐝 Did you know that in Wallonia, among a total of 347 known species of bees and bumblebees, more than half are rare, in very strong decline, or even completely disappeared from the country 😱  👏 Kudos to both organizations and thanks to the speakers for sharing your knowledge and sensibilizing us.      #affordablehousing #partnerships #inspiration

🎉 Celebration times for B Corps!  . . . March is the #bcorpmonth Vicinity got the B Corp certification 6 months ago and the first advice we received was... to celebrate it. 🎈 A few weeks later, the journey started! After having realised the 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩📜 with BetterBusiness™ | B Corp, we are now in the process of applying it.
