En combinant ces thématiques, on tombe sur la superbe initiative RELOAD (REverse LOgistics Afval Déchet) présentée hier chez Shipit Multimodal Logistics par Marion Anbergen, William Dockx et Nicolas Scherrier ! This morning, Shipit's MS Zwindam, loaded some 1200 tons of excavated soil at our Anderlecht (Brussels South) depot and left for Ghent. EUROVIA BELGIUM (our customer) and Bruxelles Mobilité - Brussel Mobiliteit (the end customer) decided to move this soil out of Brussels via Inland Waterway in stead of via road. "YEARLY 2000 trucks less on our roads", and "a YEARLY reduction of 500 tons of carbon emissions". Are Xella & Shipit's goals for an ambitious project to transfer the "YTONG" volumes from Xella's production entity in the North of France to their Belgian logistics HQ in Burcht near Antwerp. A test shipment was loaded yesterday, is now on its way with Shipit's crane ship MS Maasdam, and will be unloaded on monday morning. Yesterday we unloaded some 900 tons of silicate Xella blocs for Louis De Waele / Valens's construction site "Trefles" in Brussels. Those 900 tons were poduced in Koningsbosch (NL) and loaded on our MS Maasdam craneship in the port of Stein, two days later we unloaded in Brussels. Thanks to an excellent collaboration with Xella and Louis De Waele / Valens, we were able to avoid some 40 trucks driving from the Netherlands into Brussels. This was a successful test shipment, we are thus confident to be able to further contribute to a better mobility in Brussels and to further reduction of green house gases. #Xella #LouisDeWaele #mobility #Brussels

🌟 Goosebumps! 🌟 I experienced them several times during the teamcoaching with Shipit. And no, the airco was not set too high. We had the session in “het Zuid” in Antwerp in a beautiful location.
