3$\begingroup$ Do they really use stickers for names and logos? I would think it likely they would come off too easily. $\endgroup$– Phil PerryCommented Mar 17, 2014 at 18:54

3$\begingroup$ @PhilPerry yes, they do. And yes, they do sometimes come off when not properly applied. But it's quite possible to use stickers that require special chemicals to get off. $\endgroup$– jwentingCommented Mar 18, 2014 at 7:43

1$\begingroup$ Why couldn't you place a sticker on an airplane with some other color? $\endgroup$– SpeldosaCommented Apr 1, 2014 at 14:01

4$\begingroup$ @Speldosa you can. White is however nicely neutral. If you put KLM stickers on a US Airways aircraft... Now put them on an Air France aircraft... In both cases after removing the original titles and logos of course. And that's how rental/short term lease companies work. $\endgroup$– jwentingCommented Apr 2, 2014 at 7:03

1$\begingroup$ @reirab of course, same thing effectively as a short lease or rental. You put the styling on for a very limited time only. $\endgroup$– jwentingCommented Sep 24, 2014 at 2:57

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. aircraft-design), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
