As a Junior Software Engineer / SWE I , you will be responsible for designing and building products and solutions for strengthening the software secure supply chain security in the cloud-native ecosystem. You will be collaborating with other engineers, product managers to create designs and getting buy-in from the rest of the company and open-source communities, like Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF). This position requires strong collaboration across team and organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and users to understand user pain points deeply and create innovative solutions that delight your customers in an agile development environment.
- Collaborate across teams and disciplines to deliver high-quality, high-impact customer-facing products and features.
- Enjoys new technological challenges and excels at solving them.
- Strive for excellence in everything you do: culture, collaboration, process, tools, design, engineering practices, customer experience, performance, security etc.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years experience working in technical engineering / software engineering experience AND proven experience coding in at least one language including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, Golang , JavaScript, or Python. Golang is desirable.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent or related technical discipline OR equivalent experience
- Desire to work in open-source, communicating with both team members and open-source contributors asynchronously via GitHub, Slack, and regular community meetings on Zoom.
- Experience writing Golang applications.
- A growth mindset, passion for new technologies, high levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Experience with containers and container security is a plus.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or other software build systems are a plus.
- Experience working with software supply chain security build attestations, such as SBOMs and provenance, is a plus.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
