It's turning your back, temporarily, on the conventions and concrete of this modern life and getting some balance back in our lives. We help you satisfy that yearning for freedom from the 9-to-5 you haven't been able to quite see clearly til now, that niggling at the back of your neck to ditch the commitments and heed the call of the wild. We help you escape by designing and building sustainable, off the grid cabins, unlocking unique wilderness on private land no more than 2hrs from your home city, and letting you come and disconnect when you really need it. Just a short train ride from Manchester and Birmingham, Gus and Juno mark two (of many) more cabins to come in our growing collection of epic UK spots. Perched atop a hill with sprawling views of the Shropshire countryside, Gus and Juno are surrounded by a small woodland and friendly resident sheep, who are busy doing...well not a lot. Why not join them. Juno: https://lnkd.in/gVH_m7j6 Gus: https://www.unyoked.co/gus Photography: Daniel Casson

When you're busy building a business, taking three days to head out to nature (to do nothing) is probably not on the top of your list. But Samantha McCredie and Stephen Wu, creative couple and co-founders of content marketing agency, Halcyon Agency, did just that. So, how did it go? Check out the video below for how a little bit of nature could mean a whole lot more bandwidth. 🙌

LinkedIn is changing, which is to say all the #blessed people who used to use video-based platforms to tell you how to slow down, feel better and totally optimise yourself have discovered that they can also do it here. Now every second post that used to be about your work sector or tips for how to supercharge your career has become an endless merry-go-round of self-help. Not ideal. Instead of reading or watching all of these people who get up at 5am, take an ice bath, read half a Tolstoy and then finish work by 4pm, maybe just do something that makes you feel better. We've got hundreds of off-grid cabins waiting for you to check-in, tune out and feel the benefits of nature at, most only a few hours from where you are. So go on; scroll on over. 🌳 https://lnkd.in/g_7SweDV Photography: Tom Allport

Focused solitude builds confidence. 💪 At a moment where we have integrated activity and busyness into almost everything we do, our final learning from our Interbrand Nature of Creativity report is perhaps the most timely. The creatives who participated in our study overwhelmingly found that while being alone can be a bit daunting, the ability to listen to yourself and focus thoughts was a massive benefit they didn't feel back in the office. If you've only just joined us, here's a quick recap of what we discovered by sending creatives out to nature with one of the world's most in-demand agencies: 🪵 Constraints spark creativity - we can do so much more with less than we think 🌲Embrace the pace of nature - sometimes 'slow' really is the only way to go ✏️ Less pressure leads to more flow - ditch all the productivity tools and go easy 🧠 Focused solitude build confidence - we often think better when we do it alone Read the full report below. 💻 Thanks again to our mates at Interbrand for joining us on this journey. ✌️ https://lnkd.in/gfkp4CXr

It can be exciting to live in a big city like London or Sydney, but what if the intensity and hecticness of the city is also the thing that's affecting your mental health without your even realising? 🏙️ "Moving to London has only amplified for me just how mega the impact of nature is on us." We caught up with artist Jess Cochrane about reengaging with her creative practice after becoming a mother and why she thought a nature cabin in Norfolk was the ideal place to do it. 🌲 https://lnkd.in/gBwvuvJh

"I started off thinking about how busy we were and how it wasn't good timing to go away, but by the end wished we had booked for so much longer." 🌲Stephanie C. 22/04/2024 Scheduling self-care is a big trend right now. It seems like every other day there's a new service or app that reminds you to go outside, or breathe deeply, or track the rhythm and flow of your allotted eight hours sleep. While we're all for the concept, the problem with this new movement is the implication that there are optimal or 'right' times to take a break, KitKat style. After chatting with thousands of Unyoked customers, the one thing we hear time and time again is that very few of them knew when this 'right time' was. It's an elusive idea that usually only manifests itself in burnout or high stress. But as with all forms of self-care, nature therapy tends to work best when you just do it. Waiting for the right time could mean you're waiting forever, or at the very least way past the point at which you need a fresh green infusion. You can book an Unyoked cabin in 5 minutes, and be out there in less than two hours. The right time is right now: https://lnkd.in/g_7SweDV Photography by @daianafernandez

We like 3. Is it because it’s a prime number? No. A triangular number? No. A Fibonacci number? Not quite. It’s because being out in nature for 3-days has been scientifically proven to boost creativity, connection, and feelings of wellbeing. So much so that in a new Nature version of the Food Pyramid, amongst the lower hanging fruit (see what we did there?) such as walks in the park each week or a hike each month, scientists are advocating for us all to take 3 days to go off grid 1 x per year ⛺ 🏔 Did Fibonacci know this? We can’t be sure. But we'd like to think that he, and many others who are known to have spent a bunch of time in nature, had a bit of a helping hand with their ideas from being out there just that bit more more than the avg person. So, if you feel like you’re doing equations in your head when you look at your calendar at the moment, and if there's a distinct lack of real time out in nature, perhaps you should cancel some things and come out to nature instead...your brain and body will likely thank you for it 🌳 Image: Sketchplanations

Why go to the effort of a Nature Of Creativity Report? 🤔 Surely in the age of TikTok summaries we could have shortcut our way to the answers posed in this study, right? Well.. not really. A key part of understanding the scientific benefits of nature is literally immersing yourself in the field. You'll never get a true encapsulation of how the outdoors can impact creative thinking by just reading the academic papers. 🌲 That's why we jumped at the chance to collaborate with Interbrand on a never-before-attempted project, where we could use their best minds to prove our hypothesis in the most authentic way possible - by sending them off into the woods. See how their experiences ushered in a new form of calmness and clarity and discover our findings in our joint report, free to download right here. 💻https://lnkd.in/gfkp4CXr

You think you might be burnt out but you're not entirely sure, so to help your hypothetical burnout, you Google 'is it burnout?' and scroll through three pages of results until you are satisfied that it is indeed burnout and now you feel even more, well, burnt-out (you found out that it can be written contracted or with a hyphen, thanks Google). 💻 Burnout doesn't just affect your concentration and ability to get a decent night's sleep, but it also lays waste to your cognitive abilities. Effectively limiting the quality and amount of ideas you have. And, as anyone who's reading this on this particular platform will know, ideas are more or less what our jobs are about these days. We're not called knowledge workers for nothing right? You know what does the opposite? In massive plot twist you saw coming from across the street, nature. It's nature that does the opposite. Restoring our capacity for attention, focus and, actually (and it's scientifically proven) increasing not only the volume but also quality of our, you got it, ideas. 💡 So, subtle realisation taking place perhaps as you sit there alt-tabbing between a blank word document and the LinkedIn newsfeed (because yes, you're that burntout) for 3 hours that maybe you're a little burnt around the edges and hmm yes, those ideas are, diplomatically speaking, sh1t, if you're looking for something new to try why not follow in the footsteps of Strategists, Designers and Writers from one of the world's top creative agencies and learn what tools and tips they discovered via our Nature of Creativity project? Follow the link to read the findings and their guidance on how to put your own steps into place to reducing burnout and increasing the way your brain works. 🧠 🌲 https://lnkd.in/gfkp4CXr 🌲

We're not the type of people to do big reveals over here, we tend to let nature do the work for us. But every so often, we unlock a slice of serenity worth celebrating and today is that day. 🦘 We're stoked to reveal our latest three cabins in what is arguably one of the most remote, jaw-dropping locations in Australia. These Kangaroo Island hideouts are the ultimate in vast, epic nature; 4km of secluded beach, dotted with unique wildlife in a spot unlike any other we've seen. It's taken us a long time to lock these down and we think you'll agree it was worth the wait. We're so lucky to have access to these kind of epic locations, it really goes back to the core of what we do. Rae, Xanthe and Lyra are open to book now. We don't imagine they'll stay free for long. https://lnkd.in/g7kJMQQa Photography by Mitch Gamble: @glitch_mamble
