    Takes care of business at Pinstripe Media

    Sometimes you have projects that you just can't wait to see go live. This is absolutely one of them. This here is ep 3 of a new 4-part Startup Daily Insider, in partnership with Dell Technologies, telling the story of your new favourite Aussie startup NanoCube Health as they took the global stage at SXSW in Austin. Yes, it was lots of fun shooting between Melbourne and Austin. And yes, getting to experience SXSW was incredible. But above all, it's been a privilege to bring the story of Lisa M. and Shawn Goussous to audiences far and wide. A Melbourne medtech changing the world - in this case with pancreatic cancer-fighting nanorobots! - but doing it with as much humility as they have passion. Simply wonderful people doing incredible things. Ep 3 I think is my favourite, but check out the full series at the link in the comments. Many thanks are needed for making this idea a reality. Most of all to Dell Technologies led by William Hasko and Michelle Rogerson, supported by team EssenceMediacom - especially our travel buds Josie Kidd and Jesse Osborne - who all showcased their commitment to Aussie startups as a whole, and to NanoCube Health in particular. SXSW Sydney was the catalyst for it all, with Lisa M. winning the Pitch comp that sent her to Austin to present at the mothership. Can't wait for this year's Pitch Fenella Kernebone, Caroline Pegram, Samantha Saunders, Steven Maarbani! And a big thanks to Andrew Watt for helping get our production team accredited and into the Austin behemoth. Shoutout to Phil Ore who makes a few cameos in the series - pure entertainment, inspiration, and support to Lisa along the way. On the ground in Austin, the various Gov teams were so helpful for navigating the craziness - especially Shaun McAlpine at Investment NSW and Sunil Joshi at Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).     I couldn't think of an organisation that knows startups and pitching more than Fishburners does... With over 3500+ founders getting on stage and pitching at the famous Friday Pitch Nights, those startups then go on to raise over $1.5B in capital, create over 9000+ jobs, and invent some of the most used tech products this country has seen. There's no wonder why it's Australia's largest and longest standing startup community. But the coolest thing... the inclusivity and accessibility of our programs, support, resources, investment, networks and co-working space. Working with amazing partner and industry supporters to ensure pathways and growth for innovation in NSW and Australia. I'm extremely proud to be able to work with SXSW Sydney to help ensure this countries early stage companies can go on to be some of the biggest innovators in the world. That's why in the lead up to SXSW we're supporting startups be pitch ready and take the opportunities that the festival holds in a few months time. Hearing from SXSW representatives on what opportunities lie ahead, VC's such as Investible on what they are looking for, and the amazing Peter Browne pitch coaching sessions. It's awesome to see the engagement and fire to truly innovate. All startups can access free mentorship and coaching through the Fishburners Founders Hub and our Co-Working space leading up to the event! I threw my 2 cents in as well, if that was any help 😂 Here's a couple of my tips outside of the standard problem, solution, team, market, blah blah blah that you all know far too well... 1. Take me on a journey and tell me a story that engages us all 📍 2. Give me context on your where you're at and why now 🤨 3. Show me capability and the level of execution risk 💪 4. Have an ask 🙏 Make sure you make the audience feel something! Emotion will get you to the point of talking numbers. Keep an eye out for more SXSW x Fishburners activity!
