University research often remains lost in publications that are either inaccessible or aimed at academics. Caroline Gibson from the University of Newcastle wanted insights from her PhD research to be available to those who would use it: general practice nurses. We helped Caroline prepare a video that promotes the key messages about Practice Nurse Delivery of Dementia Care in a way that is engaging, easily understood, and memorable. Are you OK? It’s been over 3 years since the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health system published its list of recommendations for what the government could do to improve the system. A number of clients in the mental health space tell us that progress is being made in some areas, but that there’s a frustrating lack of progress in others. Hospitals are adapting, workplace policies are being updated, funding is being committed and peak bodies are being established… and yet so many Victorians are still suffering. We love this summary of the 6 Key Actions that Mental Health Victoria urged the government to take, in their excellent response to the Royal Commission’s final report, “From Vision To Reality. We’ve turned the six actions into a sketch to bring them to life. We’re a long way from seeing all 65 recommendations behind these actions get implemented across the whole state; we can but hope that things are slowly getting better. #visualthinking #sketchnoting #mentalhealth

At Sketch Group, we have worked with our clients in financial services over a number of years and have learnt to tackle some common challenges when communicating content of a financial nature. Here’s why visuals can help: - Using a visual metaphor can be used to explain difficult financial concepts when your audience has differing levels of financial literacy. - Data and numbers can be made relatable and easier to understand. - Keeping your audience engaged to get your message across. If you have an financial idea or concept that needs to be brought to life, feel free to get in touch with us today!  #explainervideo
