Our Lennox Heads and Ferry Reserve holiday parks celebrated NAIDOC week with events for their communities. At Lennox, Lois Cook, Traditional Custodian of Nyangbul Country in the Bundjalung Nation, held a smoking ceremony before storytelling, dancing and lomandra weaving was enjoyed by all. At Ferry Reserve, the Aboriginal flag was raised by Aunty Riss, a board member of the Tweed Byron Local Aboriginal Lands Council, assisted by some enthusiastic young helpers from the Durumbal Aboriginal language group. #NAIDOCweek #keepthefireburning

We are Australia's only social enterprise holiday park group, reinvesting profit into NSW Crown Land parks and reserves.
About us
Reflections is Australia's only social enterprise holiday park group, welcoming 2 million day visitors and overnight guests each year. We care for 39 holiday parks, campgrounds and unique accommodation and 45 community Crown reserves in some of the most picturesque parts of coastal and inland New South Wales. We reinvest profit in the 24,188 acres of crown land that we care for on behalf of the people of New South Wales. Each year we generate approximately $98 million in economic value for regional NSW, and we aim to deliver $1.3 billion in cumulative economic value by the end of 2030. Our purpose is to share nature’s playground in a way that gives back to local communities. We measure our success by our quadruple bottom line performance - the social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes that we deliver in partnership with regional NSW communities. Our guests enjoy escaping into nature and discovering new people and places. Relax in our cottages, tiny homes, cabins and safari glamping tents, or have a caravanning or camping adventure. We are a dynamic and growing team, united around our values: grow together; care deeply; make a difference and say it, do it. We look forward to welcoming you to Reflections!

To celebrate NAIDOC Week, we joined forces with our friends in tourism to use our collective voices to support how we can all forge a future where the stories, traditions, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are cherished and celebrated. As a collective, we are committed to reconciliation and to walking together with First Nations people. There's nothing like sharing moments around a crackling campfire, which inspired our publication Campfire Stories. Check out our new Winter edition, which shines a light on our community engagement and environmental stewardship and significant partnerships with Surfest Newcastle OzFish Unlimited and Landcare Australia. About 30 keen green thumbs gathered on the weekend for a community weeding working bee at Torakina Reserve, one of 45 nature reserves cared for by Reflections across NSW. A big thanks to Brunswick Valley Landcare Incorporated for organising the event and sharing knowledge, to the Brunswick Progress Association and local CWA for their contribution, to Rotary for firing up the barbecues to help us provide lunch for the hungry workers, and to Byron Bird Buddies and Brunswick Nature Scupture Walk organisers. Enthusiasm was high and there is chatter of more regular bush regeneration workshops in the future to protect this precious parcel of land 💚 #community #landcare #lifesbetteroutside

They say good things come in small packages and this has never been more true in the case of our tiny homes. Reflections has invested $1.5m into this unique accommodation on wheels with new tiny homes at our Mylestom and North Haven Parks as demand for them grows. We could big talk our tiny homes endlessly but to understand their appeal, head to our website.

If you’ve been to Reflections Byron Bay, you’ll know it’s pure magic. We’re thrilled that this park is a finalist in the North Coast Tourism Awards, in the Excellence in Camping, Glamping and/or Caravanning category. Congratulations to all the finalists. If you’re fast tiring of winter, a quick trip to Reflections Byron Bay is definitely a panacea. We love the view from this premium tiny home. #lifesbetteroutdoors #northcoasttourismawards

Paul and Jen, our managers at Reflections Wee Jasper on Ngunawal Country, recently hosted a community barbecue with about 40 locals and a handful of farm dogs gathering. There are few places that are truly an escape into nature like Wee Jasper Reserves, with breathtaking country, world-class hiking, walking, waterfalls, paddling and fishing – and it’s obviously dog friendly. Grab your woollens this winter and explore this beautiful part of Australia. #lifesbetteroutside #weejasperreserves #community

Reflections was on show recently at the 2024 Australian Tourism Exchange in Melbourne, with all of our 40 holiday parks, camping grounds and unique properties export ready for the global market. Our business development manager Tiffeny Gregg really nailed our presentation, showing off our new brand in the process. Thanks, Tiff! #ate24 #nailingit

It’s World Environment Day and we're at Ecotourism Australia's inaugural Global Sustainable Tourism Summit in Brisbane. We're tuning in to international, pacific region and Australian speakers representing sustainable tourism operators, industry sectors and destinations that are delivering on global best practice in sustainability. We're attending as a Crown Land Manager which not only operates 40 holiday parks across NSW but also cares for around 25,000 acres of spectacular nature reserve enjoyed by communities and visitors in coastal and inland NSW. We consider it a priority and a privilege to protect the land we care for, and we also encourage our guests to do the same. Our current focus is on energy-saving measures, with solar panels being installed across our parks. The Summit explores the theme ‘People, Planet, Place, Purpose’, and how all sectors of the visitor economy can address the four pillars of sustainability: positive environmental, cultural, and socio-economic impact, and sustainable business management. It is National Reconciliation Week and today we were honoured to welcome Deb Barwick, a proud descendant of the Gamilaroi Nation, CEO of the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and a national and global award-winning entrepreneur and business owner, to speak to our staff in our Lunch and Learn session. Deb was kind enough to answer questions on issues such as the advocacy role of the Chamber and how procuring the services of indigenous businesses supports reconciliation. In 2023, Reflections launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and we are now preparing for our second (Innovate) RAP under the framework of Reconciliation Australia. As a Crown Land Manager, Reflections operates on the lands of 12 Aboriginal nations and is committed to advancing the reconciliation movement by building positive, sustainable relationships with the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we work. To learn more about National Reconciliation Week and our RAP journey, click here https://lnkd.in/gxDAhs5k Thanks for your time, Deb (pictured here with members of our Steer Co, Emma McKenny Michelle Griffin Scott McShane Peter Chapman). #Reconciliation #community
