Earlier this week, there was a great story in the Courier Mail about some of the wonderful Carmichael crew. Thanks Bravus Mining & Resources for sharing. The story introduces you to some of MacKellar Group’s employees: the Jozsef and Jellick families who are proudly championing families ties in the mining industry. MacKellar is honoured to have the Jozsef and Jellick families as part of our team. Their passion and commitment are an inspiration to us all. This is what the Queensland coal industry is all about - creating good jobs that support families for the long-term. Go team Carmichael! Link to the article is in comments section.

Check out this collection of videos of controlled blasting operations at the mine sites where we operate! 🔥💣💥 This one is from Carmichael Project, run by our client Bravus Mining & Resources. These blasts allow us to loosen the material on site so we can achieve world class production rates with our excavators in order to access the ore. Safety and the environment are always our priority. We use best-practice blast pattern planning and measures to ensure dust, gases, vibration and noise are kept in hand so that our neighbours and local flora and fauna are not disrupted.

We recently hit the road and visited some of our projects with Aaron Witt and the BuildWitt team. Here are some great images from the trip, with a side dose of mining education from Aaron Witt. #AustralianMining #MackellarGroup #AaronWitt #BuildWitt
Welcome to the ROM The ROM (run of mine) is an enormous area with various stockpiles of mined material (in this case, steel-making coal) awaiting processing. It serves two primary purposes… First, the ROM ensures the plant always has material on hand. Think of it as a buffer. The mine can produce various stockpiles, and the plant can pull from the stockpiles as needed based on production targets. Second, coal quality varies depending on the location in the pit. By creating different piles based on quality, the ROM crew can blend material as they feed the plant. Either way, enter this monster 994 plus mining-style belly dumps. Neat. #betterdirtworld
