It feels safe, familiar and easy being in our comfort zone. We know what will happen and what the outcome will be. But when we’re afraid to take risks and do something that scares us, we’re limiting our potential and not living up to our full capability. We learn the most about ourselves when we actively embrace challenges and learn how to conquer them. When we take a chance and give it a go. So, what keeps you from making a change or taking a risk? What beliefs, ideas, assumptions or experiences are holding you back? When you recognise what’s keeping you in your comfort zone, you can take the next step to overcome it. And when you have a goal that is big enough and important enough, you’ll find breaking through that barrier even more worthwhile. I find that surrounding myself with people who challenge me, are achieving great things, and who persist in the face of setbacks, inspire me to think bigger, be better and act with greater intention, leading to enhanced results. So, find your tribe of people who uplift you, challenge you, inspire you, and support you. Create a goal that excites you and scares you. And relish the challenge and the growth you’ll experience as you take that next step. Here’s to you, as you smash through your comfort zone and leap into your potential zone.

When I am struggling to understand another person’s behaviour, perspective or idea, this statement reminds me that I don’t need to understand it. What they do, how they think and how they choose to act is up to them. Just because I don’t understand it or agree with it, doesn’t make it right or wrong, positive or negative. We all have our own view of the world, our own lens through which we see it and interact with it. So, letting go of my judgement, criticism or view about someone else allows me to free up my energy and focus my attention on things that are important to me. I choose to believe that most of us have the best intentions. That we have our own unique talents, experiences and voice to contribute. It is so easy to shy away from the spotlight and hide your true self and what you believe in. When you try to ‘fit in’ you stifle your creativity and play small. And when you hold back your words, ideas and actions they remain forever unseen, unheard and unappreciated. It’s often fear that stops you from being  your most beautiful authentic self. Fear that your mistakes or missteps will damage your reputation or image. That you’ll be judged and criticised. That you’re not enough and everyone will see it. To step up and stand out is a bold move. It takes courage and a willingness to back yourself. To make decisions and be prepared for the consequences. To challenge the status quo and pave a new path of your own choosing. You are unique, and your growth comes from trial and error. You have different experiences, knowledge and perceptions to share. You have a voice, opinion and views that matter. Sharing your ‘gifts’ with others can help innovate, collaborate and consolidate beyond the norm. When you reveal your vulnerabilities, you connect more wholeheartedly with others. It is your unique perspective, along with your courage to act on what you believe that is the most valuable thing you can contribute. Ignite the spark of your dreams, fan the flames of your desires, and keep the fire within you burning brightly.   Lost your spark?   Reignite it by finding what excites and motivates you, what’s important to you, and what drives you forward.  

It’s easy to make simple things complex. When we encounter complexity, we can start to procrastinate and avoid taking action. Here’s a tip. When something seems complicated, break it down into smaller steps, figure out the next right step to take, take it, and celebrate it. Then figure out the next right step, take it, and celebrate it. Keep it small, keep it simple and build courage and confidence through momentum. You don’t have to have it all planned out 100% right now. Be open to new paths and opportunities. Keep your goal in mind, but be prepared to deviate, pivot, or follow a new course because keeping things simple can open up a new realm of possibilities and fun.

You get to choose how you want to perceive things. With a simple reframe, a 'problem' can become an 'opportunity'. Where your focus goes, energy flows. What's one 'opportunity' you can tackle differently today, to create new possibilities?

We can choose to look at rejection as an ending, a knock-back, or a loss. We can also choose to look at rejection as a redirection to something better, different or more suitable. Rejection can hurt and create feelings of inadequacy or that you’re not enough. But reframing rejection as a redirection to something better can cause us to seek out new opportunities, new ways of looking at our situation and opening our mind to greater possibilities. Rejection can feel like a door is closing. Redirection can feel like you’re opening a new door, a better door, a door that is meant for you right now. Maybe it’s not your time to walk a particular path right now, so keep your eyes, mind and heart open to an alternate path that could be even better than you imagined. #rejection #redirection #newbeginnings #endings

What if … The stories we tell ourselves, and the scenarios that play out in our mind influence the decisions we make and the actions we take. The decision to do nothing, to stay still or stuck, is a choice. The decision to do something, to move forward or create a change, is also a choice. When struggling to make a decision, tap into “what feels most right, right now” and see what your intuition tells you. And then take the action that feels most right, whether it’s to do nothing or do something. And here’s the thing. After that plays out, you can then make your next decision and take the next action that is right for you. Life goes on, sometimes we make the right choice, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes it’s best to do nothing, and things stay the same. Sometimes it’s best to do something, and our situation will change.
