After almost 11 great years at Barton Deakin Government Relations, it’s time for me to move to new project/s. I will be finishing at Barton Deakin Government Relations on Wednesday (26 June). My great colleague at Burson, Matthew Davenport, supports Barton Deakin Government Relations clients, alongside Ben Thomas in New Zealand. Matthew Davenport has strong experience and relationships built over years supporting the Coalition, especially the LNP - Liberal National Party in Queensland, which is going to the polls on October 26. Following its founding in 2009 by Peter Collins, Barton Deakin Government Relations continues to help clients engage and work with parliaments, Liberals, Nationals and Liberal National Coalitions around Australia and in New Zealand #auspol #tasmania #nswpol #victoria #qld #southaustralia #westernaustralia #northernterritory. I am so thankful for the opportunity at Barton Deakin to have worked with and supported so many great people and organisations across every sector of our economy - corporate and social enterprises - including as clients. It has also been a real pleasure working with fantastic Barton Deakin Government Relations colleagues around Australia and New Zealand, as well as through Asia, with Burson (formerly bcw, within WPP), supporting our clients. Thank you, to all. I am taking a long-organised break with my family and I remain keen, on my return, to continue to advise, support and promote great organisations and people. I also look forward to keeping in touch with many valued friends and colleagues not only at Barton Deakin Government Relations/Burson/WPP, but also in, and from, federal oppositions, federal and NSW state governments and corporate Australia. Best to all, thank you - and see you soon.

This week the NSW Nationals have been calling on Chris Minns to honour the promise he made to Little Wings during the election campaign. Little Wings is an incredible organisation that helps sick kids across the regions access specialist healthcare. In 2022 he told them he would support them - but it's been radio silence since then. After pressure from my Deputy Bronnie Taylor, the Premier has finally stumped up $400k in this year's budget. Although it's a start, it still falls short of what the charity needs.. and I am calling on Chris Minns to step up and offer the additional support, so that Little Wings won't have to decide which regional kids will have to miss out on getting the care they need. https://lnkd.in/gXN5qREb Bronnie Taylor Little Wings Ltd

Minister Giles and Labor are not up to the job of keeping Australians safe. The Albanese Labor Government's weakening of visa cancellation rules has led to a criminal being released from immigration detention who has now allegedly committed murder. Instead of shifting the blame, Minister Giles should take responsibility.

We grieve for the six people who were murdered, we pray for those who were injured and are thinking of all those families whose lives have been changed forever. Thank you to the police officers, first responders and everyday Australians who acted so quickly to save others. In particular, the bravery of one female police officer who neutralised the threat.

It’s been a few years since my last smoko! In saying that, it was extra special to pull up the milk crate and share a cuppa with Mariah, in Rokeby today. 12 years ago, Mariah discovered her love for construction during a building course at school. These days, she’s kicking some incredible goals helping build new homes. Today, we teamed up to announce that a re-elected majority Liberal Government is going to turbo-charge the same program Mariah took, so 3000 more young Tasmanians can get practical experience delivering real construction projects on school sites. Not at one, or two more schools, but all 55 of our public secondary schools. We’re going to need a hi-vis army to deliver the billions in work generated by our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future. And we’re going to train them right here at home.
