The Company
A leading vaccine manufacturer, developing life saving medicines for infectious diseases, is searching for a new Global Director of Procurement. As they are expanding their global presence and entering new markets, the company is also transforming into a global organization.
The Role
The Global Director of Procurement is a newly created position to lead the creation & implementation of global processes to lead the Procurement division. As the Global Director of Procurement you will spearhead Procurement strategy for sourcing, supplier partnership agreements, bidding, negotiations, and implement agreements. Along with other aspects expected across Procurement.
Responsibilities
Lead the department for qualification of suppliers, risk assessments, consolidation
Formulate & implement best practices procedures for Procurement
Oversee contract/supplier agreements and CMO/CRO contracts
Defining the global strategy for Procurement Department
Leading a cost-effective Procurement strategy
Implementing continuous improvement processes and optimization
Engaging with key business stakeholders
Requirements
Experience negotiating & managing Contract Manufacturing Organization & Clinical Research Organization agreements is a mandatory requirement
Experience within biotech/biopharma industry, traditional Pharmaceutical industry experience could be considered
Extensive Procurement experience
Strong Leadership
Negotiation skills
Fluent in English
