9 athletic VTU colleagues took on the challenge of the Erzberg Dirt Run 2024, completing either the “Fun Distance” (8 km) or the “Challenge Distance” (16 km).   Erzberg is the largest active mine in Central Europe and opens only once a year exclusively for the Erzberg Dirt Run, featuring up to 60 obstacles that are integrated into the unique natural environment. These include huge natural mud ponds, the world’s largest heavy-duty trucks, abandoned tunnel systems, and spoil heaps resembling lunar landscapes, making this sports competition a memorable event.   Congratulations to all participants who braved the heat and the dirt! #TomorrowToday #VTU #ErzbergDirtRun

Meilensteinfeier bei VetViva Richter GmbH Nach Monaten harter Arbeit, vielen Herausforderungen in der Planung und intensiver Zusammenarbeit haben wir letzte Woche die Meilensteinfeier der neuen Produktionsanlage der VetViva Richter GmbH ausgerichtet. Wir verabschieden unseren Generalunternehmer VTU Group. Für uns markiert dieser Meilenstein allerdings den Beginn einer neuen Phase: der Inbetriebnahme unserer Produktionsanlage. Diese Phase ist ebenso entscheidend wie der Bau selbst. Jetzt liegt es an uns, das Gebäude mit Leben zu füllen, die Maschinen in Gang zu setzen und die Produktionsprozesse zum Laufen zu bringen. VTU Represented at the European Sailing Championships! From May 21-25, the J70 European Championship was held in Porto Ercole, Italy, featuring 84 crews from across the globe, including Continental Champions and the current World Champion. The Polish team, Powidz GRP METIKAM Regatta Group, proudly included: Tomasz Feret, Branch Manager at VTU Bartłomiej Świderski David Chapman Maciej Reck Despite facing unexpected challenges such as a damaged keel and equipment issues, the team demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination. Event Highlights: Day 1: Finished 64th and then improved to 9th place. Day 2: Faced wind shifts, finishing 44th, 55th, and 30th. Day 3: Overcame an electronics failure, securing 5th, 4th, and 12th places. Moved to 18th overall and 1st in the ONE PRO division, winning the Garmin Cup. Day 4: Achieved 3rd place in the first race but dropped to 67th in the second. Day 5: Finished 40th after an aborted start. Achievements: 1st place in the ONE PRO division 1st place in the Garmin Cup (Best boat of the day) 24th overall 14th in Europe 2nd place in the ONE PRO division for the regatta We are incredibly proud of Tomasz and the entire team for their outstanding performance and teamwork in this prestigious competition.
