Class of 2024. The new generation is now on the market, ready to give their positive contribution to the modern metallurgy. For more than 14 years, I am grateful to share my passion for metallurgy with Material Science Students. Lately, I must admit that the challenge is also adjusting this science to their new language and dynamic. They are fast, they are motivated and hopefully, they will be my colleagues of pression soon. I thank Plansee Group for letting me keep my teaching activity, as well as Caroline Girod, for trusting me on the very beginning of this mission and of course the whole ETSL team.

"I have found a lifelong friend." – Sindbad-mentee at the Plansee Group🤝 Supporting young people who are about to complete their compulsory schooling in their plans for attending secondary school or entering an apprenticeship with the mentorship of experienced professionals: That is the concept of Sindbad - Social Business. Once again, this year, employees of the Plansee Group in Reutte/Breitenwang have decided to accompany students. One of the employees is even taking part for the second time in the Sindbad program.  All five young people mentored by employees of the Plansee Group last year have started an apprenticeship or are continuing their studies at a secondary school. Through excursions, sports sessions, company visits, and discussions about life and future, all mentees declared that their mentors had become their friends. Also the mentors conceded that they have learned a lot from their protégés and shared many similarities relating to their own life journey with them.
