India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Austria, AT&S CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer at business meeting with industry representatives 🤝 The first visit by an Indian head of government in 41 years also brought important encounters for AT&S. CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer met the distinguished guest from India, Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer, MSc, Federal Ministers Magnus Brunner and Martin Kocher, together with high representatives of Austrian industry, led by Georg Knill, as well as Federation of Austrian Industries, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, and Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. AT&S, which has been successfully represented in India for more than 20 years, is the market leader and leading exporter of high-end printed circuit boards there. India, which recorded the highest economic growth among the G20 last year and is set to become the third largest global economy in the coming years, showed great interest in innovations and new technologies from Austria. Thus, CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer sees great potential for sustained and further cooperation and emphasized: "AT&S technology leadership, from high-end printed circuit boards to IC substrates, can help promote India as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and ensure a robust supply chain for key sectors in India, such as mobile devices and communications. Feel the Energy on the Long Energy Day ⚡🔌 We are working hard to put all production and administrative facilities on a sustainable base and are making great progress in this regard. In the financial year 2023/24, 73.8 percent of AT&S's global energy consumption already came from renewable sources. Our new plants in Leoben are a prime example of the implementation of our sustainability strategy and we were therefore proud to present them to the public at the "Long Energy Day". In addition to hourly guided tours through the production facilities and 3D cinema screenings, all visitors were able to take a look at the VR glasses station in the real clean room production facility at Chongqing plant in China, just like the one in the new research and development center in Leoben. ♻️ Many thanks to everyone who visited us – we are already looking forward to the next event. On the track as one team 🏎️🏁 The Red Bull Business Run may be behind us, but we are still reminiscing about that incredible day. Where normally Formula 1 cars race around the track, 150 AT&S employees put their endurance to the test. More than 2000 participants once again turned the Sparkasse Business Run into a festival. AT&S was strongly represented with runners and walkers from all departments: Apprentices, production, employees, many nations – we were on the road as a team.
