An optically high-quality single crystal of sodium mesitylene sulfonate crystal was successfully grown by a slow evaporation method using methanol as solvent at room temperature. Single-crystal XRD has characterized the material and belongs to a monoclinic structure with a C2 space group. Functional groups were determined using Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy. The optical quality of the generated crystal was evaluated using UV-Vis NIR spectral analysis, which is transparent in the range of 300-1500 nm. We report the optical properties using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) and THz generation using crystal.

We describe a general procedure for mapping arbitrary $n$-qubit states to two-dimensional (2D) vector fields. The mappings use complex rational function representations of individual qubits, producing classical vector field configurations that can be interpreted in terms of 2D inviscid fluid flows or electric fields. Elementary qubits are identified with localized defects in 2D harmonic vector fields, and multi-qubit states find natural field representations via complex superpositions of vector field products. In particular, separable states appear as highly symmetric flow configurations, making them both dynamically and visually distinct from entangled states. The resulting real-space representations of entangled qubit states enable an intuitive visualization of their transformations under quantum logic operations. We demonstrate this for the quantum Fourier transform and the period finding process underlying Shor's algorithm, along with other quantum algorithms. Due to its generic construction, the mapping procedure suggests the possibility of extending concepts such as entanglement or entanglement entropy to classical continuum systems, and thus may help guide new experimental approaches to information storage and non-standard computation.

Vortices play a fundamental role in the physics of two-dimensional (2D) fluids across a range of length scales, from quantum superfluids to geophysical flows. Despite a history dating back to Helmholtz, point vortices in a 2D fluid continue to pose interesting theoretical problems, owing to their unusual statistical mechanics. Here, we show that the strongly interacting Helmholtz-Onsager vortex systems can form statistical edge modes at low energies, extending a previously identified analogy between vortex matter and quantum Hall systems. Through dynamical simulations, Monte-Carlo sampling and mean-field theory, we demonstrate that these edge modes are associated with the formation of dipoles of real and image vortices at boundaries. The edge modes are robust, persisting in nonconvex domains, and are in quantitative agreement with the mean-field predictions.

The present work proposes an inflow turbulence generation strategy using deep learning methods. This is achieved with the help of an autoencoder architecture with two different types of operational layers in the latent-space: a fully connected multi-layer perceptron and convolutional long short-term memory layers. A wall-resolved large eddy simulation of a turbulent channel flow at a high Reynolds number is performed to create a large database of instantaneous snapshots of turbulent flow-fields used to train neural networks. The training is performed with sequences of instantaneous snapshots so as to learn a snapshot at the next time instant. For the present work, velocity and pressure fluctuations are used for training to produce the same parameters at the next time instant. Within the autoencoders, different types of methods like average pooling and strided convolutions are tested for the reduction of spatial dimensions. For convolutional neural networks, the physical boundary conditions are implemented in the form of symmetric as well as periodic paddings. A priori simulations are performed with the trained deep learning models to check the accuracy of turbulence statistics produced. It is found that the use of convolutional long short-term memory layers in the latent space improved the quality of statistics, although issues related to stability for longer times are observed. Though instantaneous snapshots of the target flow are required for training, these a priori simulations suggest that the deep learning methods for generating inflow turbulence are one of the possible alternatives to existing methods.

An analysis is carried out to examine the effects of the steady flow of an electrically conducting viscous incompressible nanofluid in the existence of a uniform transverse magnetic field with chemical reaction over a stretching sheet considering suction or injection. The present model is demonstrated experimentally to reveal the effects of Thermophoresis and Brownian motion. Similarity solutions are investigated for the governing equations and solved numerically by using a shooting technique with fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration scheme. The impact of associated parameters on velocity profile, concentration profile and temperature profile is plotted graphically. Also the impact of local skin friction coefficient, the reduced Nusselt number and the reduced Sherwood number are discussed. The experimental setup revealed good agreement of the results with the literature.
