Jacob is a copyeditor at Ars Technica. He began his career as a sports reporter and copyeditor in newspapers before a sojourn at a private investigative firm where he helped solve fraud cases for clients. He then transitioned back to journalism with editing stints at Digital Trends, Insider, CNET, and TechRadar. He resides in Portland, Oregon, where he enjoys typical Portlander things.
