Best Retro Football Game Ever

This game is a wonderful nod back to the days of simple, classic football games that I spent hours and hours playing on a ZX Spectrum as a kid. This game heavily involves random number generation, so don’t get too angry when you unthinkably lose 4-0 to a team you out-class in every aspect, but in the main you won’t have a problem. Just pick a season from history and keeping playing it until you amass an ultimate squad from that era, become league champions and win the European Cup. The only improvements I’d like to make would be to add the FA Cup (England) to give it an extra knockout dimension and give you the chance to win the elusive Treble, relegation/promotion when you continue playing from a certain season, and weirdly despite signing foreign players, they continue to appear in the transfer market playing for other clubs whilst they’re playing for you. But other than that - almost perfect! Goodbye free time, hello square-eyes! Thank you :)

Thanks a lot of this very useful feedback. This year we will be adding subs and player ratings. In early 2021 we plan to release 2 new modes to the game which will contain the FA Cup and promotion and relegation. Regards Coast Gaming

Retro football that brings back memories

I truly love this game…but I don’t agree with having to pay big amounts of money in every league and season to get legendary players. It should be a one off payment that gives you everything in every and every league. Even if it was £100 I would pay it as I have spent so much more, yet I am not even half way through playing all seasons and countries available. There isn’t a loyalty based offer for those who have stuck with this game since day one. And there is plenty of repetition with seasons and players to build ultimate squads. But this is without doubt for me a brilliant and simplistic enjoyable game. Hands down much better than the fm series. I haven’t even purchased fm mobile 23 because I enjoy this game so much. I love retro football management games, I compare this with the original football manager from the Spectrum and Commodore 64 for enjoyment and fast game simplicity. But guy’s you forgot to add Tomiaso into the Arsenal squad for the 2022 season…come on rectify this! And give the players better ratings for this season as they aren’t realistic. But please carry on with new seasons as I am addicted to this as I have never been addicted to any game before

Thank you so much for your great review. If you purchase the Ultimate Bundle then this will give you players in every new season you start, it will also give you extra transfer cash. Basic but Amazing

Exactly this, the game is very basic. You only pick 11 players and only manage fitness, injuries and suspensions. You have an unlimited transfer window and can only search for players from your selected league, but after every game you are shown a few foreign players to buy which is pure RNG. Transfers are glitchy, both me and Chelsea brought Deco this season (high twin rate). Season takes half hour.
But... and its a big but... the game feels like something I felt as a youngster playing Championship Manager, its amazing for on the go. Sure if want the FM experience on a mobile, this is not it. But if you want to click away, win the league season after season, win game after game (mostly, theres still the 1-0 loss randomly!) and amass a team of Galacticos, this IS the game for you.
