Why wouldn’t you?
If you like to grind out tower defence games then this is a must. Some have left bad reviews saying that they don’t like that they can’t beat every level every time, but that’s what grinding is. Idiots.
No recharge times between action, plenty of optional adverts (but some forced ads, they want to make a bit of money from non-spenders, live with it or spend a fiver). There are daily and weekly challenges for some extra goodies, plenty of recurring events and two main game play modes.
The biggest thing for me is the gdpr saves your options so you only have to opt out once, unlike so many other games.
All round great game
Game lacks options
This game is a roguelite tower defence game. The roguelite elements are poorly implemented though, and the tower defence elements are simple. You can’t even give your towers a target ring priority, which is a pretty basic concept in a TD game. The game is frustrating, it is difficult but a lot of the difficulty comes from the roguelite elements. Every time you “level” during a fight you are given a choice of 3 things you can do to improve your defence. This can be adding a tower, upgrading a tower, or changing the terrain in a few ways. The problem is that often all you need is another tower or an upgrade and it just never comes, meaning your defence is too weak to succeed. The games solution to this is to upgrade your towers and your base at a hefty gold price which quickly depletes. I get that they want to encourage you to spend money so you can continue to upgrade, but when even overlevelling doesn’t guarantee that you will succeed due the the low odds on you actually being able to use every level up to improve your defence then I fail to see the point in continuing to play the game.
Pay to win
I’ve played this game for a couple of months now, as usual starts off nice and easy and got difficult with the levels which is a good thing. However after the past few updates it’s obvious the developers are just looking to take your money. I’ve been on the same level for a month now and I’m some how reaching a lower wave after the new update. This game started off brilliant but it’s just another money grab to make people pay to win.
It kept me going for a while but it’s not fun anymore, I’m not paying £9.99 for a box that’s not going to help me anyway so unfortunately I wont be playing anymore and neither should anyone else in my eyes.
These developers need to start thinking about the player rather than the money going into their pockets. Just look at what Elden ring did for the community, no pay to win at all and everyone loves it even though it’s one of the most difficult games to play.
