You can access the application without a ticket and discover all the points of interest in Pompeii.
By accessing the application with a ticket, you will be able to take advantage of additional content. In this case, you will be able to access:
• By scanning the QR Code or the barcode shown on the ticket
• Manually enter the order number shown on your ticket
Application functionality by signing in without a ticket.
The Map feature allows you to discover all the points of interest that make the Archaeological Park of Pompeii one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage sites. For each point of interest, you will find descriptions, visiting hours, images, and much more. Within the map, there is an area dedicated to the services and facilities available within the Park.
In the Exhibitions and Routes feature you will find our suggestions for visits, such as dedicated exhibitions and routes.
Application functionality by signing in with a ticket.
All information about your visit will be available within the application, for example, the QR Codes associated with your ticket.
The Map functionality will propose the tour with all the points of interest that can be visited within Pompeii. For each point of interest, you will find audioguides designed for adults and children, descriptions, visiting hours, images, and much more. Within the map, there is an area dedicated to the services and facilities available within the Park.
In the Explore area of the map, you can discover all the points of interest that make the Archaeological Park of Pompeii one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Slow and broken
Unfortunately, the content and functionality of this app is exactly what you need for a self guided tour. A nice map with points of interest with descriptions. This is all made useless by how broken the app is.
Every tap takes 10+ seconds to register. Never seen an app this slow. Often times nothing will happen at all when you tap something.
Scanning your ticket QR works and is a nice feature, but most people will have a digital ticket on their phone, how are you supposed to scan it?
When you try the manual entry, the keyboard covers the field, so you can't paste. You have to type blind. Then it said "wrong number" 3 times, I kept retrying without changing it, and it randomly worked eventually.
Then inside the app, it says I have 3 tickets. I only bought 2... Weird!
Would be great if we could pre-cache the map contents on wifi and then use the app offline at Pompeii. Or at least cache it in temporary memory after the first time it's used. As it stands, it streams everything live from the internet... Might as well be a website!
But overall the fact that it's so unresponsive makes it unusable. A real shane.
Don’t bother with this app
I have never written a review for an app before but today I feel I have to. This app supposedly helps during a visit to Pompeii: it doesn’t. I uploaded the app (despite reading other feedback that suggested it was awful) and then put our entrance order numbers in - these successfully appeared. Fingers crossed… to find that the bloke on the turnstile entrance turned us back to the ticket office. Therefore, no point uploading the order numbers.
The internet connection was so poor that the app couldn’t keep up - better to expend your energy on getting the phone guide available or, better still, getting a live guide.
Could be great, but isn’t.
Agree with other comments, this has all the functions that you would want especially the map and downloadable audio guide, but on IOS it drains the battery at an insane rate, and is extremely slow to do anything, so you eventually just can’t use it. You are basically better with googlemaps at Pompeii, which is a shame.
