By far the best DAW

So obviously, being version 1, there are still a few things to go to make this a complete success, especially support for 3rd party controllers such as Novation Launchpad pro etc as on the Mac version, but this is by far the most comprehensive DAW available for the iPad, with a good workflow and some great creative tools.

I can’t wait to see how it develops over the years, and in my mind, the subscription process is not such a drama as many are making out. Being able to choose when to use it throughout the year if you need, or a small sub each year is not a big deal, especially with this much power under the hood of a supremely mobile music creation app.

It is good but not yet good enough to replace the desktop version

Usually it's okay as a sketchpad and I love that I can be sitting in front of the TV when an idea comes to me and all I have to do is reach over and grab the iPad to quickly get the idea down before it vaporises. It is good in that I get to use some of the functionality available only on devices with the M1 and greater chip. My iMac is an Intel-based one. So, I have to say its good but not great and time will tell if it is ever good enough to replace the desktop version. The lack of decent third-party plug-ins and some missing functionality that the desktop version has adds to its limitations. There are however a handful of really great 3rd party plug-ins available right now including Scaler and Scaler EQ. Also, I'm used to working on two large 27 inch screens and it has been quite difficult to adjust to working on my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 for some things but easier for others. Not being able to hide tracks has definitely contributed to the awkwardness shall we say of working with the iPad. At the moment I'd give it 3.5 stars which isn't bad but 4 or more would enable me to say that it's really great instead of it's good.

Best daw for I pad

I was hoping to get Logic Pro on a Mac for about 6 to 7 months before this came out and it’s everything I hoped it to be it is an amazing daw and it’s also really nice being able to touch knobs faders and having a mixer on hand and also being able to use plug ins and also having 15 gb of sounds is amazing also the only bad things I have to say is that it sometimes randomly quits and that I have to go out of the project to name it apart from that it’s an amazing daw an update I have been using this for 10 months now and even though my cpu is overloading that is my I pad and I still love this interface and it’s heaps of fun
