That said, a slight improvement in the situation exists in my fields — you can often find great, insightful, off-the-cuff remarks in YouTube lectures, and research panels in particular, where you often have several experimentalists and theorists sharing their points of view on the gaps in a specific topic, etc. I found these types of recordings really valuable as a doctoral student over the pandemic — remote graduate school often had me feeling a bit starved of this type of discourse. | |
