    Hola yelpers,
I'm moving out of my hellhole infested with smoke tender nob apt to the ahem..marina. I'm excited, but I need recommendations on cheap, and i mean freaking cheap movers.  I live in a studio so I don't have that much shit, but I am a girl, so maybe it is alot??  Anyone have a good experience with movers and didn't spend an arm and a leg? I checked craigslist, but there's like 1000, and who knows if they'll flake. THANKS!!

You get what you pay for.  Cheap movers = broken stuff, not being on time, skeevy criminals.

Go with the best - Delancey Street.

Being somewhat connected in the industry, I have disagree with Cheesemonger.  He is right, you get what you pay for, but I would steer clear from Delancy Street.  There are plenty of other companies who can do a fine job for you though.

Delancey is a rehab program, using their services is a great way to help their program.  Other than that, I'd talk some friends into helping (promises of a beer and pizza party after its all done helps), or pick up some random Salvadorenos in the Mission.  Those guys can lift like 10x's their weight.

  1. What if you want to pay for and get real cheap?

I am biased, but I would go for Corrib Moving & Storage. Check them out. On time, friendly, fast.

I say go with Zhang's Moving. They are incredibly cheap and offer an exceptional service. I am a  200% satisfied customer. There was no hidden charge too. People are personable and extremely hard working.

  2. I love Got2Move - they were really wonderful, prompt, pretty affordable, and just nice guys.
