Dr. Dao is now in Foster City Costco. Lucky for us as the glasses wearing community.
He and his team are efficient knowledgeable and trustworthy. No upgrades, hard selling pitches, just eye glasses rx and out. $130 for contacts. They do accept insurance, but mines not great so double check yours. Its cheaper to be a cash patient in my case.

Highly recommend Dr. Dao! and now at all the Costco's on the peninsula!

I had an amazing experience at K&K Optometry. The receptionist were incredibly helpful with verifying my insurance and making me feel comfortable during my appointment. Today, I saw Dr. Hung who was extremely knowledgeable and reassured any questions I had. I've also seen other doctors at their practice and they've been equally helpful! It's evident that all the doctors and staff really care about their patient!

My "member rate" for an eye exam at Kaiser Mission Bay is $178...$178?!?! Appts are 2-3 weeks out...

Costco member rate for Dr Dao is only $80!! Plus I was able to get a next day appt! THUMBS UP!

Knowledgeable, patient, and very friendly.

I used to come here for years and I've been to a couple optometrists since I left the area so now I'm realizing what a standout dr. Dao is!

Very friendly, and I didn't feel rushed at all like many places. I remember when I got diagnosed with astigmatism for the first time, I was able to try a few different contacts until I found a right one, was able to find back for follow ups and doc was really knowledgeable to know the differences in fit between brands that could help me see better without necessarily a change to the prescription degree thing.

No surprise fees either at the end of your visit. Definitely some out of pocket costs because of the way it's separate from Costco but they explain all that up front and don't surprise you at the end with any dumb surprise charges.

I was visiting family in NorCal and realized I didn't bring enough contact lenses to last my trip. My prescription was also expired so I wasn't able to purchase more contacts. But luckily I was able to make a SAME day appointment at SFO Family Eye care Optometry inside Costco! The exam was quick and easy and getting my prescription was a breeze. Since I didn't have enough contacts, the doctor was able to give me some trial lens to last my trip. I also picked up a $5 chicken on my way out. It was a win win situation. I wish it was this easy in LA! Thanks for being so accommodating! Highly recommend this place

I have been coming to Dr. Dao for many years now, this review is way overdue!

Dr Dao and the entire staff are wonderful.

During COVID, they have you wait outside (there is a bench) until it is your time. Then they have you wash your hands. Before they have you out your chin on any of the machines, they use wipes to clean the machines.

The girls in the front are professional and friendly.

Dr. Dao is why I keep coming back year after year. He remembers me, he is always smiling, very professional, very friendly and explains everything as he is going through your exam. Then at the end he goes over everything one more time to make sure you understand. He has always been very honest and tells me when I should update my glasses or if my prescription has just changed slightly, he will tell me I can wait. If I have ever had an eye issue between my annual visit, I can get an appointment right away and if you need a prescription you can go right there in Costco and fill it.

They now have a special machine that takes a very detailed picture of the back of your eye so no more dilation! It takes just a few seconds, and the picture is immediately available for Dr. Dao to review.

The exam was $75 for the visit plus my prescription for my glasses and $40 for the special machine pictures. If you are getting contacts you would pay a little more for the additional prescription.

My husband and my boss have also started seeing Dr. Dao a few years ago after I told them how happy I was.

Having worn glasses for a long time now and started wearing contacts a few years back, I am really happy with the services at SFO Eye Care!

All the doctors that have treated me here are really knowledgeable and caring! I love getting my eyes checked here and get my Costco shopping done at the same time. I love that there's no pressure to buy products here compare to other places I've been to. They don't upsell prices here since they don't are independent from Costco and really just focus on helping me with their professional services. I recommend my family and friends to come here as they are the best!

After not having had an eye exam for a long time, I decided to go to a small store optometrist to update my prescription. I realised the prescription was way off when I got my new glasses from that store. I wanted to get a second opinion but had to pay out of pocket since my insurance allowance had been spent on the first optometrist. This is why I decided to go to Costco Optical where I got an appointment with Dr Nguyen the next day, and the eye exam was just $80.

Dr Nguyen was super patient and helped update my prescription, including the precise degree of correction for my astigmatism (something I'm pretty sensitive to). At the end of the exam, she also put the prescription in a trial frame to make sure it would really work for me. Overall great, affordable eye care. I will definitely come back!

This is the first time I have used this ophthalmologist in Costco San Bruno. I was absolutely so impressed. Firstly the check in process was smooth and quick, covid screening was done well and most of the forms are online, which is cleaner and quicker for both patient and staff. Dr. Dao was the highlight. He was so patient to find me the best contact lens and prescription. I have had Lasik on one eye, Lasek on another, recent strabismus surgery and astigmatism and he was so patient and helpful. He recommended lenses that were the best quality and when I was having issues helped me trouble shoot them. I've never had contact lens fitter like that and I've been wearing contact lenses off and on for 35 years. I will definitely highly recommend them to you. They do take VSP premier.

Been coming to this place for years--all the docs are attentive, personable and very kind. Insurance pays in my case but zero complaints and they do a great job at reviewing past records and keeping my history updated.
