Q:
How does the menu work? Say we go with the middle tier. Then we each pick how many items? 5? Do we all have to pick the same however many items or do we get different picks from that middle tier?
A:
There can only be a certain amount of meats order at a time for the whole table. They allot you about 3-4 meats, 3-4 side dishes at a time for thr whole party. If each person order 5 for a party of 5, too many dishes at the table. PLUS, the gril is… more

My cousin has a severe peanut, sprouts and sesame seed allergy. We called in first to see if they could accommodate us and the hostess who picked up the phone was so patient, kind and helpful. I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!! She put us at ease by how she answered our questions and made sure to check in with her team for any questions she couldn't answer immediately. We decided to give it a shot and we're so glad we did!
This place was packed, but all the staff were still very attentive. Immediately when we arrived at check in, the same hostess who answered the phone confirmed again with us that she saw our notes we left about the allergies. It was a seamless handoff to our server Althea who I especially wanted to spotlight! She brought an allergy chart for us and went the extra mile as we started to put our orders in. She was super knowledgeable about the dishes and she would triple check if we were okay to have certain items before confirming our orders. She did a great job in communicating with the kitchen. She was friendly and knowledgeable and you could tell was taking our allergy concerns seriously. We all enjoyed a safe and delicious meal thanks to the combined effort from both front and back of house! Thanks so much!! I can't tell you how much we appreciated your effort!
Sorry we didn't take pictures of all the amazing food your kitchen staff worked to make safe for us! We were fully enjoying our meal and got caught up in the moment! However, we did take a picture of the complimentary ice cream we received for checking in on Yelp which was the cherry on top of the excellent service we received. We will be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cindy G.The Strip, Las Vegas, NV81Jun 16, 20241 check-in

Best Korean barbecue experience I've ever had on the West Coast PERIOD.
We waited about an hour to seat nine people at 12pm Friday, but the weight was so worth it. The meat was such great quality!
Well worth coming here over all buffets on the strip!
Miguel and Shane were amazing hosts thank you!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 2, 2024
This place convinced me that Japanese BBQ is waaaay better than Korean BBQ! The meat choices here are spectacular with a bunch of prime cuts and a fair amount of wagyu options to choose from. They also serve sushi as well, but we avoided it in order to make room for more meat. Don't forget to try the carpaccio!
Service-wise, I think that the workers know that most people are coming from out of town and don't know how the menu or the format of this restaurant works so they are very patient explaining it and taking your order. The food comes out in a timely manner and they always check up on you if you want to order more dishes. Workers definitely deserve the tip (pause).
The restaurants vibes are casual, but good enough to take a baddie out on a date here. Although you cook the meat in front, you won't really smell like it coming out of the restaurant. Just be careful bc wagyu is fatty and you don't want to ruin your outfit. The menu is a bit overwhelming to read, but luckily the workers can help you understand it better. A good word of advice, join the Yelp waitlist because the wait will be 2+ hours. Just join when you're at the hotel and then come when you're closer to the top of the waitlist.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 37950181Aug 2, 2024
Prime Tier - $28.95
By far, the best AYCE Japanese BBQ l've ever had! It's been forever since l've had premium quality beet at an amazing price!!
The servers were extremely attentive and even gave us complimentary tea, which I am definitely ordering again next time. The best thing is that the ventilation system is great, and after eating, I didn't feel or smell gross as l usually do at most BBQ spots. Also, pretty sure the last time I came, they didn't have a reservation system, but they recently opened a waitlist on Yelp; we waited for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
I will definitely be coming here every time I'm in Vegas!

I've been wanting to try 888 Japanese BBQ for the longest time. We finally got to come here! My husband and I had such a good time.
They have different grades of AYCE that you can choose from. First is the lowest tier which is $27/person. You can get endless pork belly, jidori chicken, and some other things. There was basically no beef in this tier other than ribeye or NY steak (depends on the day for which you get to choose) and you can only order it once. The middle tier is $33/person and this one includes all sorts of beef on top of the things offered in the lower tier. You can only order prime bistro hanger steak, filet mignon, prime harami miso once. There are more sushi roll options, and you can choose salmon carpaccio and snow crab once. The final tier is $43/person and in this one you can even order kobe beef and prime kalbi.
For what we wanted, we were happy with the middle tier. Our favorites included the LA kalbi and prime fatty rib, both of which were limitless. We also enjoyed the prime harami miso, salmon carpaccio, and snow crab but you could only order those once. We loved the selection of sides and endless veggies. We didn't bother with the sushi rolls, as most of them included imitation crab, which just wasn't worth the stomach space.
Overall, we had a really good experience at 888. I think it is worth it to go for the middle and high tiers if you like beef. I felt the price was justified by the quality of the food. Service was actually really phenomenal. Sometimes AYCE just leaves customers hanging and you're stuck waiting for service, which is especially annoying when there's a time limit. But our waiter checked up on us frequently and food was always brought out fast. You even get free ice cream if you check in on yelp!
Definitely one of our new favorite BBQ places. We will come back.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2024
Such a gem!
It was a very busy Saturday evening. I use Yelp online waitlist since 6:10pm, then went to Rio hotel to play a round of mini golf, 140 minutes after, we got our notifications that our table is ready.
Perfect timing!
I loved the Calpico Mojito!
For food, oh mine, everything was very fresh and tasty.
Tuna poke is a must from colder things.
Harami was the best item in my opinion from the bbq menu.

Always love stopping at 888 whenever in Vegas. Love the calm atmosphere and intimate dining experience. Wonderful service as always. During this visit the food was flying out! The servers would keep up with our multiple orders.
If you don't make it right at opening time I would recommend joining the waitlist through yelp. It'll save your place in line while you're on your way over. Make sure to check in with the host once you arrive.
My parents love coming here and filling up on all their hearts desires. I love seeing their excitement for all 888 has to offer. We actually were seated in the same spot as the last visit. It brightened our experience that much more. We will keep coming back with every Vegas visit. Let your server know if you check in on Yelp. You'll get some complimentary ice cream!Helpful 43Thanks 15Love this 42Oh no 0Aug 11, 2023Previous reviewStop looking for places to go in Vegas and come here! The best by far. I saw the high rating, positive reviews and watched a few vlogs about this place and finally was able to get out to Vegas and try it. We brought my family here for our first visit and without a doubt there is no comparison it's on another level. The menu selection and price breakdowns are comprehensive and you get so much for what you pay for. The warm welcome and friendly service was refreshing. The Japanese boardwalk throughout the restaurant was really well thought out. With descending levels and integrated sections it gave that more intimate setting while other diners are around you. We did arrive right when they opened so there was not much of a wait. I do recommend coming early to avoid a line. Take a look at the menu while you're waiting to be seated. There's different tier brackets and it shows everything that is included. The sushi was fresh, meats were flavorful, ramen was delicious and all the sides were so complimentary to our mains. We loved the s'mores at the end a little nostalgic campfire favorite. The ice cream selections were a perfect ending to an epic meal.

We were doing some school shopping at fashion show mall and got hungry.... So we headed to Chinatown!!
We tried to come here a while back and the wait was just too long. Finally today it was only 30/45 minutes! Hooorraaayy! We were seated picked one of the three menu options. We choose the prime 'menu. It's the middle choice option. There's one cheaper and one more expensive.
The selection of rolls, appetizers, and meats were stellar. We tried a good 7 different meats. Had to get a variety of veggies too! The butter garlic was delicious.
This was our first time and we will definitely be returning !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
