The Nine's Luxury Hotel is and was an amazing place and stay. Janessa made us feel welcome from our first phone call from California, to our arrival on June 19th.
We experienced tire challenges along the way and called the hotel to ensure our arrival although it would later than expected. Janessa again, made us feel sooooo welcome and at ease knowing that our room was secured, clean, and ready for us when we arrive.
Our arrival was very pleasant and the staff from the front bell service, to checking in with Michael was extremely pleasing and seamless. Michael was very attentive and prompt with helping us out.
Janessa was still on shift when we arrived around 10:15pm. Janessa introduced herself and ensured that we had an amazing room facing the water and the bridges for us and the kiddos to see. The welcome basket with snacks and a kind note welcoming us and mentioning our interesting and challenging trip was very thoughtful and made it that more difficult to ever want to leave such a wonderful hotel with such staff and care as was displayed and given by Mrs. Janessa.
The hotel food was amazing at the Urban Farmer and the speak easy style library was a hit for our girls. They were sure to break away and have their own time at the library and enjoy the books and pool table away from mom and dad.
The Birdsong chandelier and stairs that lead down to the conference center was a major setting and theme for about 40 minutes of photo shooting with my wife and the girls. We had to ensure that we got just the right angle and photos with at least a few good shots from the +/- 800 photos that we must have taken.
The Roof Top was great for photos and for dinner that evening as well. The patio was very nice and enjoyable and the view and selfie photo ops with the city background was exceptional.
Thank you all again for making this such a great stay as this was our first time to Oregon and we were in town for a wedding.
A huge thank you again to Mrs. Janessa for making this a wonderful visit to Portland and to
the Nine's.
Traveling patron's, make sure to ask for Janessa at the front counter, best host and hospitality ever.
Thank you again,
The Berkleys'

**I would like to point out that nobody from the hotel management staff has reached out... 5 star?!?! Laughable!
The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the gym, but even there, the equipment often malfunctions. The hotel's style falls short of 5-star standards. The showers have inadequate water pressure, and the unsealed windows make it feel as though you're sleeping outdoors. Hallway noise echoes into the rooms, and the carpet and furniture are quite dingy. The food is merely mediocre. This hotel should not be labeled as luxury or considered 5 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 11, 2024
Looking for an elegant and luxury hotel in Portland - the Nines is the spot.
Our room came with elegant decor, furniture, and even came with a chandelier. My 5 year old said wow haha (we were very fortunate and got upgraded to a suite).
Restaurant at the top of the hotel (Departure) has a super cool vibe (sushi / Asian fusion / drinks). Great spot to hang out with friends / date night. It does get busy so I would suggest making reservations.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maya D.Sacramento, CA03Jul 20, 2024
Absolutely love this boutique style hotel. From the chandeliers to the tiffany blue paint on the walls. It's so vintage and cute. The crab omelette was delicious!!

Having visited Portland many times, this was my first stay at The Nines and it was exceptional. Although it has over 300 rooms, it really felt like a boutique hotel with amazing artwork throughout.
When I arrived, there was no acknowledgement of my Titanium status. I had requested a room upgrade using Marriott Rewards points before my arrival, but that wasn't successful. However, I was told the property had upgraded me from a superior to a deluxe room (which are basically the same room but facing the street, rather than the courtyard). The hotel did provide a $40 breakfast credit daily and $30 daily amenity fee credit which were greatly appreciated.
When you arrive at your room, you immediately sense luxury: the marble bathroom, dark woods, rich wall coverings, and a super comfy bed. I just wish our room was larger.
The Departure Lounge on the 15th floor was hopping each night we were there. Great city views and awesome craft cocktails and light bites.
We found the location to be ideal for exploring the city and enjoying the stellar Portland dining scene. It was also great to run along the river in the early morning.
The Urban Farmer restaurant in the atrium is a great place for breakfast or any meal. We really enjoyed working with Molly who was a hostess and waitress there. We'd highly recommend the Eggs Benedict, Granola and the awesome Applewood Maple Bacon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nan C.Solana Beach, CA158Apr 8, 2024
5 STARS!!! My husband attended a conference in Portland this February and I joined him. This is an outstanding Marriott hotel. It was similar to a boutique hotel - it has so many pluses. Everyone on staff was just "first class". Some of the names that I wanted to mention are Molly, Laura, Eric, Bradley, Anandi, and James. Everyone was warm and gracious.
We just love the Urban Farmer steakhouse restaurant. The menu selections were just wonderful. Eggs Benedict were a real hit for breakfast! I loved the coffee, too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 6, 2023
I used Marriott points to book a night here on a road trip and the staff was super friendly, from the valet who let us keep our car parked so we could see the rose garden before it closed to the receptionist who upgraded our room at no additional charge and put us on a floor with a view. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous and the room was huge. We would definitely stay again.

Loved the hotel. Beautiful, elegant and very comfortable. Such a delightful stop during our short visit to Portland. Fell for the Tiffany blue color theme of the room. The lobby bar has fantastic vibe - beautiful music and gorgeous interior. Everything would've been perfect should have the restroom was cleaner. Didn't meet expectation given it's a luxury hotel. Shout out to Jaylen and Tim from the valet parking - wonderful service, much appreciate!

100% recommend staying here.
Loved all the decor in the lobby area and "library"
My room was very clean with nice touches including a nespresso machine!! I wish they stocked it with nespresso branded capsules though.
The rooftop restaurant is a must see even if not dining. I didn't have a chance to dine but was able to enjoy the view for a bit.
The lobby level restaurant and bar is great too. Although I only had a cocktail, the ambiance is great for relaxing. My cocktail, forget the name, was made perfectly too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katerina E.West Palm Beach, FL031Jun 22, 2024
I have just attended a conference in this hotel. A few days prior, I have called the hotel and inquired them about parking. I was told that conference attendees are charged a discounted price of $28 for valet parking (which is the only type of parking available). When it was time for me to pick up my vehicle, I was charged $63.99 instead for 6hr of parking. Across the street, there was a public parking for $5/ day (it was "special"). I am disappointed with lies.
