    it works on the search bar, but not on saved fields

    I figured it out.. Shift+Delete won't work if you also have a saved password (login+pass fields), you have to delete in chrome://passwords . Shift+delete works well for regular non-password fields though.

    confirmed. It's crazy but if Chrome is suggesting something in a username field and you don't want that suggested, you must delete the saved password in settings first, and then shift+delete in the field to stop the suggestion from occurring...
