Using the new windows 10 shiny settings screen did not work however (it kept saying the host name was not valid). But using the good old Control Panel > System and security > System > Change settings (in "Computer name ...") did the trick. I'm still amazed how such a weird behavior (no internet access, some app crashing, nslookup OK but no DNS resolution...) can be fixed by such a simple action... | |
