May 30, 2019 at 21:14 comment added Benjamin A. I love you so, so much ! For me, just setting the laptop's hostname fixed it (I did not touch the domain). Using the new windows 10 shiny settings screen did not work however (it kept saying the host name was not valid). But using the good old Control Panel > System and security > System > Change settings (in "Computer name ...") did the trick. I'm still amazed how such a weird behavior (no internet access, some app crashing, nslookup OK but no DNS resolution...) can be fixed by such a simple action...
