I don't know how I would use those monitoring tools to identify a problem.

One basically studies the sensor data, mostly these dealing with temperature, to see if one is much higher compared to the readings you get when everything works fine. If temperature is the cause, you will need to take steps to better cool your laptop when watching video.

I have sent it in for warranty repair. No idea yet what the problem is, but I'm sure they will either find it or replace it.
