Jun 7, 2014 at 10:48 comment added Laurence Thanks edvinas .. i didn't know Routers have USB port that i can connect to HDD. I am now wondering about connecting home router to the new router (if i have bought one). I can't move the home router from living room to my room and I don't want to put my external hard drive in the living room. Can I do something like the new router, old router, HDD all connect to my desktop and create some sort of own WIFI network there. All my other devices can connect to my own WIFI network and they have internet access as well as access to HDD? If yes, can you guide me roughly how it can be done? Thanks.

Jun 7, 2014 at 10:34 comment added ek9 Get your own WiFi router with a USB port, plugin any USB HDD to the router. Now all the devices connected to the WiFi router will see the USB HDD. You can also later connect your router to internal network at home so you can have internet.
