I suggest this tool: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
EditEDIT: yesterdayOkay i try this tool installing Gparted Utilitymake some investigation and regardless it says "not working on mac" it worked fine. Unfortunatly i cannot testseems like only from Fedora right now cause 951mb take me too long with this connection17 there is EFI boot support so you won't be able to boot Fedora 16.
If you want to give it a try yourself here is how-tosource: http://mjg59.dreamwidth.org/12037.html

  1. Format your USB drive with FAT32 filesystem
  2. Open Unetbootin and select which Fedora version you want to install, they say 19_Live has EFI boot mode and should work on Mac but i cannot test it as i said.
IF YOU ALREADY DOWNLOADED FEDORA IMAGE YOU CAN USE IT, no need to re-download. Just select DiskImage and choose the .iso

  4. Select USB and pay ATTENTION at correct Drive, press OK
  5. Wait until download and install is finished
  6. Reboot your Macbook with ALT key pressed

I only found this article that can be useful: http://fedorasolved.org/Members/jmontleon/installing-fedora-16-on-macbooks-using-grub2-efi

As i saidit's a very HARD job, yesterdayyou will probably want to avoid this tool worked for me with Gparted (EFI boot)and install Fedora 17+.
