I don't know since the laptop comes with Windows 8. Do you think that the OS might be the problem?– AliCommented Aug 17, 2013 at 18:56

hard to follow you, but if you attach an external mouse will it work while your touch pad freezes? Can you maneuver with keyboard shortcuts while your touch is frozen? I would remove all traces of the touch pad utilities and drivers, and start from scratch and add software slowly until it acts up.– LogmanCommented Aug 18, 2013 at 1:45

@Logman: I've edited the post: External mouse via USB works, but doesn't solve the touchpad problem.– AliCommented Aug 18, 2013 at 12:24

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
