Are you saying that your wireless router is only 5 GHz capable? If you are getting 90Mbps then you apparently have an 802.11n wireless router. Are you sure that it is not capable of dual-band (simultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz) operation?– sawdustCommented Jun 9, 2012 at 22:16

@sawdust I can switch between 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz (Wireless N, correct) but I don't seem to be able to get both to broadcast at the same time. You're right though, that would be the ideal solution.– DanCommented Jun 10, 2012 at 12:12
