  • Along the same lines, not all monitors are created equal. The persistance of the phosper on CRTs varies in how rapidly it fades out. Some monitors are fine at 60hz, whereas others noticeably flicker at 72hz. Short phospher duration used to be a selling point (in conjunction with high refresh) for gamers (WAAAAY back in the day!).
