I can tell you that this Crucial "32GB Kit 2X16GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ DDR3 240PIN DIMM Dr X4" RAM will not work in the Asus M5A88-M (it will not boot with one stick of this as I have tried it, in each slot) I didn't try both sticks because figured if it can't see the one, its probably not going to see two of the same, (so one hasn't been out of the pkg). The mobo lists 16gb max (4x4) but some GSkill and Kingston chips list 32GB in their QVL for the Asus M5A88-M. I'm running FX6100, BIOS rev 17.02. It goes through the motions of trying when you press the MEMOK button but returns to solid on led,– user450235Commented May 21, 2015 at 3:34
