  • ARM is about being small and super power efficient for devices like smartphones. While the classic x86 is concipated for bigger workloads. Applications like Word won't be cpu hungry so it is fine to run it on ARM but when it comes to bigger workloads ARM will start to struggle. The Instruction Set of course plays a factor. Also you can't really compare MHz/GHz with each other. Mips is a bit more accurate tho there are more factors. It takes way more to describe the differences. This is more for a lecture in university.
