  • If the other hardware is the same, yes. Otherwise, add it as an additional drive to another machine, don't set it as the boot drive in the BIOS, then just access it like a regular additional drive to get your files off.   • Everything else would be the same: I'd just be taking the SSD out and connecting it with an external enclosure. Can I still run the machine this way? Is it difficult to do?

  • USB performance won't be nearly the same I'm afraid, so it's not a viable long term primary fix for your issue, but you can probably do it to limp along for a little bit Commented Aug 16, 2023 at 16:25
