Easiest way ever: is Windows Explorer.

  1. Open windows explorer and access the "remote" address \wsl$\\wsl$, you will see something like these: example result
  2. Now right click-click one of them and select "Open in a New Window"
  3. Set them side by side and explore/copy/paste files as you see fit.
