5"100+ tabs in chrome incognito mode" first time I see this reason for not being able to restart... Perhaps you can try bookmarking all open tabs? A short Google journey seems to point at an issue with your system which is likely not easilyt resolved while keeping the system live and might even point to breaking hardware, so losing some open tabs might not be your worst problem.– Saaru LindestøkkeCommented Dec 9, 2022 at 9:01

@SaaruLindestøkke - 100 tabs in Chrome is nothing, I have hundreds, without a problem– RamhoundCommented Dec 9, 2022 at 12:39

Bookmarking doesn't save tab back/forward history, not to mention other valuable data like cookies, localstorage, etc. that only pertain to that certain incognito session. There is a problem with chrome developers and it's that they completely neglect the needs of power users like me, opting to spend their time to make the application more user friendly to newbies, unnecessarily changing features, often making them even worse, etc. It is comparable to the situation with microsoft. There is currently no good way to report these problems too, we must rely on third part forums like this to solve– rignecorteCommented Dec 10, 2022 at 9:09

our problems, and that itself comes with another set of nuances, such as lack of activity. Microsoft's own provided customer support website has an array of completely incompetent techies who regurgitate junk that won't help at you to improve their standing on the site, and chrome completely lacks a stable customer support website– rignecorteCommented Dec 10, 2022 at 9:11

Chrome devs have all those features in the regular mode. Incognito is a special mode where all those things are specifically NOT the point. You're expecting unreasonable things from Chrome. You need to restart in order to eliminate a very likely software culprit.– music2myearCommented Dec 12, 2022 at 4:36

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
