This worked fine for me, Win 10 22H2, Feb 2023. It also removed "Microsoft Rewards" medal icon aside my account in the search bar though (not a problem for me).– hexaaeCommented Feb 5, 2023 at 7:46

Not a problem for my use case but this fully disables searching the web from the search bar. Thank god though because I hate edge– mrblue6Commented Apr 27, 2023 at 17:10

Too bad my corporate GPO won't let me add that new key. :(– RonJohnCommented May 8, 2023 at 14:48

1. Worked perfectly. 2. Didn't have to scroll through dozens of confusing and contradictory threads (which was what I got from a Microsoft answer to this question). Thank you!– Dave LandCommented May 15, 2023 at 6:02

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
